Day 1: Welcome to the Ochre City

Arrival at Marrakech airport. Transfer to the historic center and check-in at your Riad*. Enjoy free time to explore the Medina and the legendary Jemaa el-Fna square.

Note: A Riad is a traditional townhouse built around a beautiful central courtyard, like a small private palace.

Day 2: Journey to the Remote Atlas

Transfer to Abachkou (1650m). We drive east via Azilal into the heart of the mountains. Here, we meet our local team of muleteers who will carry our luggage and camping gear. We begin a gentle hike toward the village of Rougoult.

• Walking time: 4–5 hours.

Day 3: The Gateway to the Tassaout Valley

Hike from Rougoult to Idoughmamen (2500m) via the Tiz Rougoult pass (2860m). Experience breathtaking panoramas of the Tassaout Valley. In the afternoon, we explore the nearby gorges.

• Walking time: 5 hours.

Day 4: Nomads of the High Plateaus

Ascent toward the Tarkeddit Plateau (2900m). From the pass, enjoy views of the deep canyons and the vibrant Amezri Valley. We cross landscapes inhabited by nomadic families living in traditional dark camel-hair tents.

• Walking time: 5 hours.

Day 5: The Sacred Summit – Mount M'Goun

The highlight of our trek: summiting Irghil M'Goun (4068m). We start early to catch the best views of the Atlas range. We descend via a different path toward the M'Goun river.

• Walking time: 8 hours.

Day 6: The "Happy Valley" of Aït Bougoumez

Cross the Tizi N'Ougmar (2850m) and Tizi-n-Aït Bouilli (2900m) passes before descending into the Arous Gorges. We reach the village of Agouti in the famous "Happy Valley." Overnight in a cozy Berber guesthouse (showers available!).

• Walking time: 6 hours.

Day 7: Return to Marrakech

After lunch, transfer back to your Riad in Marrakech. Evening free to enjoy the sunset on a terrace overlooking Jemaa el-Fna.

Day 8: Cultural Immersion

A free day to explore Marrakech's treasures: historic palaces, the bustling souks, or the world-famous Majorelle Gardens (Yves Saint Laurent). We will provide our exclusive city guide for your walk!

Day 9: Farewell Morocco

Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy final moments of "city magic" before your airport transfer for your flight back to the Netherlands.
