Full-day Mountain Bike Excursion in Morocco (1 day)

The full-day mountain bike excursion is the most original trip you can take from Marrakech. A fantastic adventure to discover the High Atlas Mountains from the inside. You will be driven to a high-altitude pass from where you will descend mainly through the remote Imenane Valley, passing through small Berber villages. This is a demanding ride, accompanied by a local guide. A picnic lunch is included. This tour can also be extended into a two-day mountain bike trip in Morocco.

Departing from Marrakech (approximately 450 m altitude), the route first takes you on a beautiful mountain road to the Berber village of Imlil, at 1,740 m altitude.

There, you will get on your mountain bike. The first part requires significant effort: a climb on an increasingly winding mountain road to the Tizi Tamatert pass, at 2,280 m altitude. Fortunately, you will have plenty of time to catch your breath. Your efforts will be rewarded by the breathtaking view from the pass.

Next, the route continues mainly downhill through the colorful and remote Imenane Berber valley, crossing impressive steep mountains and passing small villages with red earth houses, surrounded by green terraced rice fields and walnut trees. Along the way, you will have lunch with a Berber family and, in the late afternoon, you will be taken back to Marrakech.
