Day 1 – Group Tour Marrakech & Atlas Mountains: Scents & Colors of Morocco
Arrival in Marrakech

Upon arrival in Marrakech, transfer to the medina (approx. 20 minutes). Welcome to our charming riad hotel, an oasis of tranquility right in the heart of the old city. A riad means “garden” and refers to traditional mansions built around an inner courtyard.
In the evening, we visit the famous Jemaa el-Fna square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you will encounter fortune tellers, snake charmers, Berber musicians, storytellers, and a wide variety of food stalls where we can sample local specialties.

Discovery Tour in Marrakech

Early risers are encouraged to explore the medina in the morning, when the streets slowly come to life. Of course, you may also choose to rest a little longer and wake up to the call to prayer from the nearby mosque.
Today we have ample time to discover Marrakech at our own pace. There is so much to see that we must choose which sights to visit. We will also stop at one of the traditional herbal shops, known as a herborist.

To the Berber Village of Imlil

Today we travel to the Atlas Mountains via a special route, stopping at the weekly farmers’ market in Tameslohte. Men from surrounding villages gather here to buy their weekly supplies, giving us a glimpse into everyday mountain life.
We then continue to the Berber village of Imlil, where we enjoy lunch with a local family followed by a pleasant walk to the Imlil waterfall. In the afternoon, we learn how to prepare msemen, the delicious traditional Moroccan pancakes.

To Tacheddirt – Deeper into the Atlas Mountains

To reach the Imenane Valley, we hike via the mountain pass of Tizi-n-Tamatert. We take our time and enjoy the scenery. For those who prefer not to hike, local transport is available to reach the remote village of Tacheddirt.
Along the way, we enjoy a fresh and tasty lunch high in the mountains. Upon arrival in Tacheddirt, our Berber guesthouse offers wide panoramic views, perfect for watching the sunset and admiring the star-filled sky. We can pick fresh mint from the garden for tea before enjoying a delicious dinner prepared with natural ingredients.

Berber Villages Around Imlil

Today, a beautiful walk brings us back to the small Berber villages around Imlil. We stay in a beautifully located guesthouse for our final evening in the mountains.
In the evening, hospitality is celebrated with a different herbal tea than during the day. As night falls, we gather to admire the stars in the clear mountain sky.

Free Morning in the Mountains – Return to Marrakech

This morning, we take our time to enjoy the view from the terrace. You may choose to go for a walk, do some shopping, or relax on one of the garden terraces in Imlil.
After a final lunch in the mountains, we return to Marrakech. In the afternoon, a visit to a traditional hammam (Moroccan bathhouse) is planned, with the option of a relaxing massage.
For our last dinner in Marrakech (at your own expense), we dine at the charming Ksar el Hamra restaurant, located near our riad, where a glass of wine is also available.

Free Time in Marrakech

Today is entirely at your leisure. Relax, do nothing at all, shop for last-minute souvenirs, or visit a museum you may have missed.
Please note: tickets for the Jardin Majorelle must be booked online in advance. Alternatively, you may enjoy a terrace café, visit a palace, explore one of the gardens, or simply wander through the city at your own pace.

Departure – Transfer to the Airport

After an early breakfast, the transfer to the airport is scheduled for 9:00 AM (approximately 2.5 hours before flight departure). A porter will collect our luggage at the riad using his traditional handcart.
